Lecture Summary: Physician Burnout is a problem on the rise, with significant impact on patient care, physician well being, and physician family impact. A copy of my published commentary can be found at www.bariatrictimes.com in the January 2020 edition "Preventing burnout by keeping Sane at Work." I will discuss profession wide causes of burnout, identifying factors for physicians to recognize symptoms of burnout, and methods to prevent, and "treat" physician burnout.
