Dr. McKenzie is the Trauma Medical Director of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Queens, NY and a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is dual Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and has also held the position of Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Jamaica Hospital. Dr. McKenzie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemical Sciences from Kansas State University, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her general surgery residency training at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, NY and a fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care Surgery at Rutgers University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Dr. McKenzie is a designated Fellow in The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and The American College of Surgeons, an Associate Member of The American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and holds active membership in The Association of Women Surgeons, The American Osteopathic Association, The Society of Critical Care Medicine, The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and The Trauma Center Association of America. Dr. McKenzie resides in Brooklyn, NY.
